On Saturday, Aug. 13, at 11:36 p.m, Pleasantville Police Officer Michael Mabkhouti located a stolen vehicle unoccupied on Lafayette Circle.

While investigating the stolen vehicle, another vehicle was believed to be in the area to recover the stolen car. The vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign.

The driver, Darnell Lewis, 23, of Egg Harbor Township, reportedly gave police consent to search the vehicle. During the search, K9 Officer Korey Crosby located a handgun under the driver's seat, police said. All suspects were placed under arrest and the front seat passenger, Christopher Gist, 22, of Egg Harbor Township was found to have a handgun.

The rear passenger was a 16-year-old boy from Pleasantville.

The juvenile was transported to Harborfields Youth Detention Center and the two adults were taken to the Atlantic County Jail.
